During the consecration ceremony of Shri Ram idol in Ayodhya temple only five people including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and the Chief Priest will be present inside sanctum sanctorum or Garbha Griha.

At this time, the curtains of the sanctum sanctorum will be closed.

The consecration ceremony of Shri Ram idol in Ayodhya temple is slated on January 22 in which several dignitaries from multiple industries including Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Ratan Tata, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and others are invited.

Idol Eye Opening Ceremony Details

Zee News reports that the idol’s eye-opening ceremony will involve only five individuals, commencing with a traditional ritual of presenting a mirror to the idol. Three distinct teams of Acharyas have been assembled for the Dalpuja ceremony.

Acharya Teams

Team 1: Swami Govind Dev Giri Leadership

The first team will be under the guidance of Swami Govind Dev Giri.

Team 2: Led by Shankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswati

Shankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswati, from the Kanchi Kamakoti Peeth, will lead the second team.

Team 3: Scholars from Kashi

Comprising 21 scholars from Kashi, the third team completes the lineup for the significant event.

Preparations for Ram Mandir Consecration 

In anticipation of the Ram Temple consecration scheduled for January 22, PM Modi plans to visit the holy city on December 30. During this visit, he is set to inaugurate the newly constructed airport and unveil a new train service.

It’s noteworthy that PM Modi laid the foundation stone (Bhoomi Pujan) for the Ram Temple in 2020, signifying the commencement of its construction. He has since been actively involved in monitoring the temple’s progress.

Ram Mandir Features

The sanctum sanctorum of the temple will boast gates made of gold in addition to bronze murals portraying the teachings of Lord Ram.
