Salman Khan has been put on high security after the assassination of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was also his close friend. After the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for Siddique’s murder, the security outside Salman’s residence in Mumbai was also increased. Amid this threat, an old interview of the actor’s personal bodyguard Shera has been going viral. 

In the 2023 interview with ANI, Shera talked about how difficult it can be for the stars, who have a threat to life, to go into the crowd. He further spoke about the challenges of being a bodyguard and how he handles things. Shera told ANI, “Salman Khan has a threat to his life, the stars who have a threat to life it is difficult for them to go into the crowd…When you are in security, it is about taking a decision at the right time…The biggest challenge is managing the crowd of his fans…We protect Salman bhai and local security takes care of the crowd management…”

Shera, whose real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly, has been associated with Salman Khan since 1995. He revealed that Salman’s younger brother Sohail Khan introduced him to the actor. He added, “There was a security issue, and Sohail Bhai, who knew I was a bit of a tough nut in a turban, said, ‘Why don’t you be with Salman Bhai?’”

“Over time, I bonded with Bhai, and that relationship has endured. Our jodi is like no other—I’m a Sardar, he’s a Pathaan, and together, we’re unbeatable. I told Bhai, ‘Jab tak mein hu, tab tak mein apki seva karunga’ (As long as I am here, I will serve you),” he further revealed. 

According to a report by India Today, the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor is devastated after the death of Baba Siddique and was unable to sleep after returning from Lilavati Hospital. The report further claimed that Salman Khan has canceled his personal meetings for the next few days. Baba Siddique was shot dead on the night of October 12 outside his son’s office in Mumbai.
