Varun Dhawan has recently wrapped up shooting for a cameo appearance in ‘Stree 2’ alongside Shraddha Kapoor. In this film, Varun will be playing the character of Bhediya, thus creating an intriguing crossover within the shared cinematic universe. The scenes featuring Varun and Shraddha were filmed at a Mumbai studio. Varun’s role in the movie will serve as a foundation for Bhediya 2, which also exists within the same universe. Varun graciously allocated two days of his busy schedule to film this scene for his friend and producer, Dinesh Vijan.

Allegedly, Bhediya 2 is scheduled to commence production in 2025, picking up from where Stree 2 concludes. Presently, the shooting for Stree 2 is underway.
In 2018, Amar Kaushik directed the horror comedy film ‘Stree,’ starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, which pleasantly surprised audiences and garnered positive reviews. Following its success, Varun Dhawan starred in the horror comedy ‘Bhediya’ in 2022, alongside Kriti Sanon, which also achieved success at the box office. The post-credit scene of ‘Bhediya’ hinted at a crossover between the Stree and Bhediya universes in future projects. Both ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Bhediya 2’ will further develop this narrative. Directed by Amar Kaushik, ‘Stree 2’ is set to hit the theatres in August this year.
Varun’s most recent appearance was in Nitesh Tiwari’s romantic drama “Bawaal,” alongside Janhvi Kapoor. The film received mixed reactions upon its release. His upcoming project is ‘Baby John,’ a remake of the Tamil film ‘Theri.’ Produced by Atlee and directed by Kalees, the film also features Wamiqa Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh. It is scheduled for release on May 31st. Additionally, Varun is committed to ‘Bhediya 2’ and is set to star in his debut web series, ‘Citadel.’
