The Killer Soup Review: Manoj Bajpayee, the seasoned actor of Hindi cinema, leaves no stone unturned in winning the hearts of his fans. After showcasing his outstanding acting skills in films, he has now become the king of OTT. Now, Manoj Bajpayee is back with his web series ‘The Killer Soup.’ Abhishek Chaubey, known for making films like ‘Sonchiriya’ and ‘Ishqiya,’ has crafted this unique soup, and its real spice is revealed in the final episode of the series. However, this eight-episode series moves at a slow pace. Let’s tell you what enhances the flavor in this soup and what spoils the fun.

The Story

After ‘The Family Man,’ this is Manoj Bajpayee’s second web series. Although Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona’s soup is as killer as the killer roles they play in different films. The series begins with Swati Shetty (Konkona Sen Sharma) making a soup for her businessman husband Prabhakar Shetty (Manoj Bajpayee). The soup doesn’t go down someone’s throat, so Prabhakar calls it a killer soup. Although Swati is learning to cook, she also dreams of opening her own restaurant. The story also revolves around Prabhakar’s doppelgänger, Umesh Mehta. Umesh massages him, and there’s an affair between Umesh and Swati. Prabhakar spies on his wife, but the spy is killed in an accident. Meanwhile, Umesh is murdered, and then Umesh becomes Swati’s husband in the eyes of the world.

Manoj and Konkona’s Acting

The cinematography of ‘Killer Soup’ is excellent. However, due to the limited portrayal of characters in each 45-minute episode, there is a lack of depth. The series uses Hindi, English, and Tamil, providing a multilingual experience. While it may not have the thrill of a crime thriller, the crime aspect is well presented. If you want to see the beauty of the South and Konkona, this web series is worth watching.
