Ponniyin Selvan 2 trailer: After the success of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1, the creators are back with a highly anticipated sequel. The film, which dominated last year’s box office, is ready to please fans with the trailer for the highly anticipated second part of the film. The creator, who has been bugging fans for a long time, has finally released a trailer for Ponniyin Selvan 2.

The Ponniyin Selvan 2 team unveiled the trailer at the mega event in Chennai. A music announcement was also made after the trailer. The event was attended by various cast members including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan also attended the event as special guests. 

Ponniyin Selvan 2 will feature Aishwarya and Vikram, along with actors Jayam Ravi, Karthi and Trisha Krishnan. Much like the teaser, the trailer was marked by the ensemble’s all-star cast size and impeccable acting skills, with Aishwarya using her bravery to bring her character to life as the beautiful Queen Nandini.

The second part of Ponniyin Selvan is based on the 1955 novel of the same name by Kalki Krishnamurthy, having seen Ponniyin Selvan face his death, and protect him. The film is funded by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.

About Ponniyin Selvan 2

Ponniyin Selvan is Aishwarya and Vikram’s second collaboration, following their acclaimed 2010 film Raavan. Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Ashwin Kakumanu, Mohan Raman, Sarathkumar and Parthiban are part of the supporting cast. Composer AR Rahman, editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer Ravi Varman are part of the technical staff.
