Filmmaker Karan Johar announced his latest directorial venture on his 52nd birthday, which fell on Saturday, May 25. He revealed the news on social media, mentioning that the film’s title has yet to be determined.
On his Instagram handle, Karan Johar shared a picture of himself holding the draft file for the narration of his new film. Alongside the picture, he wrote, “Get… Set… Go!”

Upon Karan’s project announcement, Ayesh Shroff exclaimed, “Woooooohoooo!! (sic),” and Maheep Kapoor used clapping hands emojis in the comments. Many Instagram users expressed their wish to see Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol reunite on screen, while some suggested pairing ‘Shershaah’ couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani for the film.

Earlier on his birthday, pictures of Karan Johar leaving for his celebration in South Mumbai surfaced on the internet. Later, his close friends surprised him with a party attended by Kajol, Anil Kapoor, Farah Khan, and others.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar returned to the big screen as a director after a seven-year break with ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ in 2023. The film featured Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles, with Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan in important supporting roles. It achieved tremendous success at the box office, earning Karan Johar widespread acclaim.
