New Delhi: Bollywood actor Dia Mirza shared a very heartfelt note on Monday, (August 1), as her niece Tanya passed away. Diya shared a photo of her niece on Instagram and informed the fans and followers about this loss. Although Diya did not reveal the reason for her niece’s untimely death.

Diya wrote, ‘My neice. My child. My jaan. Gone into the light. May you find peace and love wherever you are my darling… you always brought a smile to our hearts and the higher realms will be filled with more light with you dancing, smiling and singing. Om Shanti.’ As the post surfaced, B-town celebs also joined in their grief and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

 Apart from these, the fans and followers of the actress also expressed grief over the post and expressed their condolences by writing Om Shanti. One of them wrote, “Deepest condolences.” Another fan said, “Very sad to hear this. Deepest condolences to the entire family. Loved ones are always with us. Sending lots of love and prayers.” One user even commented, “Rest in peace. Stay strong.”

In February 2021, Diya married Vaibhav Rekhi at a private event in Mumbai. The couple welcomed their son Avyan in May of the same year.

Dia is shooting for Tarun Dudeja’s ‘Dhak Dhak’ with Taapsee Pannu, Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanjana Sanghi. Diya will also be seen in filmmaker Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming film ‘Bhide.’
