Greta Gerwig’s movie “Barbie” got nine Golden Globe nominations, including best comedy picture, and nods for Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling’s performances, as well as recognition for three original songs. Another film, “Oppenheimer,” released around on the same date, earned eight nominations, including best drama picture, and nods for Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., and Emily Blunt.

Following closely behind in nominations is “Oppenheimer,” which is aligned with the release date and has become a meme companion. The film received eight nominations, encompassing categories such as best picture in the drama genre, and individual actor nominations for Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., and Emily Blunt.

The restructured organization, now operating as a for-profit venture with an expanded and more diverse voting membership, revealed its nominations on Monday for the upcoming January awards show. Cedric the Entertainer and Wilmer Valderrama hosted the announcement event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the same venue where the awards ceremony is scheduled to occur on January 7th. This marks a new chapter for the group following previous scandals and challenging years.
