New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will end the application process for UPSC Combined Medical Services Exam (UPSC CMS 2023) on May 9.

Interested candidates who have not applied yet can apply online through the official website upsc.gov.in. Candidates can make changes in their application from 10 May to 16 May 2023.

The recruitment drive will fill 1261 posts for Medical Officers in various government organizations.

Eligible candidates can apply till 09 May 2023 till 06 PM. The exam will be conducted on July 16. The admit card will be issued on the official website well in advance of the examination.

Know eligibility and age limit

Candidate must have passed MBBS final exam and practical exam. If we talk about the age limit, then the age of the eligible applicants should not be more than 32 years as on 01 August 2023.

However, the age limit should not be more than 35 years for Medical Officer grade in General Duty Medical Officers sub-cadre of Central Health Services. There will be upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates.

Application fee

Candidates have to pay a fee of Rs. With Visa, Mastercard, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or with UPI payment through the Bank’s Net Banking service (Rs 200 only) at any SBI branch. Women, SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempted from this fee.

UPSC CMS 2023: How to apply

  • Go to the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in
  • In the What’s New section, click on “Examination Notification: Combined Medical Services Examination, 2023”.
  • Fill the application form.
  • Upload all the required documents.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Take print out for future reference.

Selection Process

i) Written Examination in two papers (500 marks), each paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks. Each paper will be of two hours duration.
ii) Personal Interview (100 Marks) of the candidates who qualify on the basis of the result of the written examination.
