JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Main Exam is organized for admission into B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.E/ B.Plan courses. It is quite possible that authority might release notification soon by last week of October 2022 for JEE Main 2023.
JEE Main 2023 examination will be held in two sessions as April & May sessions (tentatively). Admission will be given to candidates in various IITs, NITs, CFTIs & other well-known colleges. It is a national level exam conducted every year by National Testing Agency (NTA).
The scheme of JEE Main 2023 examination is likely to remain same as that of the previous year. However, as per the latest reports, instead of NTA, JEE Apex Board (JAB) might be the conducting authority for JEE Main.
However, UGC chief M Jagadesh Kumar has publicized that the JEE Main & NEET exam will likely to be merged with Common University Entrance Test (CUET) from the next academic year.
Basically, JEE Main Entrance exam is held for engineering & NEET examination is the entrance test for all undergraduate medical programmes. Therefore, CUET is introduced for admission into all UG programmes in all central universities for academic session 2022-203.
As per UGC Chairperson, CUET 2023-24 will be held at least twice a year. To reduce the burden of appearing in multiple entrance test, the merging of the engineering & medical entrance test might happen. However, UGC Chief have stated that the idea has not been finalized yet.
Also, several students have verbalized concerns & doubts about the idea of merging engineering, medical & undergraduate entrance exam into, “One Nation, one Entrance Exam”.
To register for JEE Main 2023 examination, candidates will have to fill the application form via online mode. No other mode will be available. The authority will release JEE Main 2023 application form separately for both sessions.
One, must have passed 12th examination in 2021 or 2022 or must be appearing in intermediate in year 2023 to be eligible for JEE Main 2023 Exam. Forms will be accepted only of eligible candidates. However, there is no age limit prescribed by the NTA.
For First session, registration can be start by last week of October 2022 along with the release of notification. The examination will be organized tentatively in April month 2023.
Candidates are suggested to check official website as well as latest news on daily basis to avoid any latest updates and information regarding JEE Main 2023.
