It is commonly known that Generation Z students and children are addicted to their smartphones. The majority of students have been attached to their phones thanks to the pandemic and its side effects. What’s concerning is the addiction that it is developing into.

STUDEGRAM edu-tech has now developed a remedy for this. A tech-assisted initiative called Studegram Junior will help students develop healthy lifestyles and break their addiction to virtual worlds.

This lifestyle app will put more focus on the student’s mental health and character development than traditional activities or other apps. The basic idea is to use technology and students’ enthusiasm for gadgets and games to create an environment where students are motivated by exercises that promote the growth of their character, develop values, and protect their mental health. The system will use “apps” to lead the student away from harmful social media apps and games and towards constructive real-world activities. With this idea, Rajeel KP and Suvaibith Ali KP created the Calicut-based startup Studegram. Rajeel is the executive director of KPG Roofings, the biggest network of roof tile showrooms in India and the market leader there. Suvaibith Ali has 10+ years of experience in the education industry working with all the key players in the industry.

“Studegram is putting a focus on mental health and character building, even at social gatherings and in their own homes, we frequently observe children hooked to their phone screens. When we were young, any occasion that brought together relatives or friends was a cause for celebration for all of us. Social games, conversations, and a variety of other activities would be available. Yet if you see youngsters today sitting together, they’re probably all watching something on social media since they’ll be glued to their phones in each of the four corners of the room. This occurred in our family as well, just like it would in any other household. We were aware of how socially awkward the younger generation is. That’s when we made the decision that we needed to pay attention to this problem and that it was our responsibility to prevent it for future generations,” said Suvaibith Ali.

Parents who had taken part in this endeavour had previously appreciated the Studegram for doing such great things. Following the first success of the app and curriculum, Studegram has already updated the app to include parental controls. In Calicut, Studegram is already recognized as the market leader for the study abroad industry. Suvaibith Ali, who is in charge of the international education consulting division of the Studegram’s “India for future” programme, was one of the most well-known educational consultants in Calicut for the past seven years.

With partnerships with prestigious colleges all over the world, Studegram helps students select the finest courses based on their preferences and personalities. Another software by Studegram, called “Studegram,” leverages IoT and blockchain technology to do away with the need for paperwork and build a true online portfolio. This will give validation to each professional’s profile, handling a “resume that never lies.” The app is awaiting authorization from academic institutions for preliminary trials and looking at its triumphs, we are sure to see it in use soon.
