CBSE Class 12 History Board Exam Analysis 2023: On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, the CBSE Board conducted the 2022-23 Class 12 History Board Examination. The exam scored 80, and the student was given 3 hours to finish the question paper. Students had to solve a total of 34 questions divided into 5 sections.

Class 12 History Exam 2023: Paper Review

According to students, the question paper was easy but they felt lengthy. Although, the paper was well-divided as per the unit-wise weightage.

Questions asked in the History exam

The class 12 History exam for the CBSE included 5 parts, 38 questions, and a total of 80 points. Three hours were provided to the candidates to complete the exam. Before the exam, students had 15 minutes to examine the question paper; however, they were not permitted to write answers during this time.

A: Questions 1 to 21 – MCQs, 1 mark each. 

B: Questions 22 to 27 – Short Answer Type Questions, 3 marks each. 

C: Questions 28 to 30 – Long Answer Type Questions, 8 marks each.

D: Questions 31 to 33 – Source based questions (three sub-questions), 4 marks each.

E: Questions 34 – Map based, 5 marks.
