CAT exam 2022: Check out Important topics to prepare from CAT syllabus

CAT exam 2022: IIM Bangalore will begin the CAT exam 2022 on November 27. The registration for the same exam has been closed now. Candidates have sufficient time to prepare for the examination, they have approx. 2 months to cover the syllabus. The exam will be a computer-based test that not only checks the aptitude and knowledge but also IQ. 

The admit card will be issued from October 27 onwards till the exam date. Once the admit card is released, candidates can download it from the official website — iimcat.ac.in

Important Topics to prepare

The CAT exam will have three sections Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation. There are 20 important topics to which candidates have to give adequate attention to score 99+ percentile in this exam. 

How to prepare for Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension?

In the whole exam paper, this is one of the most tricky sections, which will be testing the applicants on grammar and Verbal Reasoning, Error Correction, Facts, inference or judgment, comprehension, vocabulary, para summary, and related topics.

To score well in this section, candidates should: 

  • Focus on vocabulary
  • Practice the passage of the previous year’s exam question paper 
  • Go for good books 

How to prepare for Quantitative Aptitude?

This is one of the easiest sections of the exam. It only requires clarity of concepts and great practice.

  • Solve Mock Tests and Previous Year Papers

How to prepare for Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation?

  • Read Magazines and Business Newspaper
  • Utilize Calculator
  • Take mock test
  • Time management

Note: Candidates who are solving mock tests and previous question papers daily in these 2 months will crack the paper with a good score.
