Hyderabad: A Swiggy customer from Hyderabad spent Rs 6 lakh on Idli in the last 12 months. The delivery platform came to know about this when they were analysing its data for idli in India. The totals reveal that 33 million plates of idli have been ordered from Swiggy in the past year.

Swiggy reveals that the platform has “In the previous 12 months, 33 million plates of idlis were delivered, indicating the enormous popularity of this dish among customers. Idlis are most commonly ordered in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Other cities that are closely following are Mumbai, Coimbatore, Pune, Vizag, Delhi, Kolkata, and Kochi.”

Highlighting the man Swiggy says that his love for idli is next level. He was the one who placed the maximum number of orders from the platform and spend 6 Lahks in a year. They stated, “Wherever I go, the idli goes with me: A single Swiggy user from Hyderabad ordered the maximum number of idlis last year, spending a whopping 6 lakh rupees on this south Indian delicacy. What’s more, this user has ordered 8,428 plates of idlis, including orders placed for friends and family, both while travelling across cities like Banglore and Chennai.”
