Ghaziabad: In view of the regular rains and the changing nature of the weather, Ghaziabad Municipal Commissioner Dr Nitin Gaur has directed the officials of the Health Department to run a massive campaign in the city. Instructions have been given by the Health Department of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation to run an awareness campaign to prevent diseases like dengue and malaria.

City Commissioner Dr Nitin Gaur has urged City Health Officer Dr Mithilesh to carry out extensive fogging, anti-larvae spraying, and bleaching activities in the city. Additionally, the residents are kindly requested to prevent the accumulation of water in and around their homes by regularly cleaning water from coolers, ACs, old tires, pots, and other potential breeding spots for infectious diseases. The residents are also encouraged to maintain overall cleanliness, particularly by ensuring clean toilets.

Municipal Commissioner Dr Nitin Gaur has made an appeal to the city residents to adopt preventive measures against infectious diseases. In addition, the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has requested schools to encourage students to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. School principals have been motivated to inform and raise awareness among students about preventive measures against diseases like dengue and malaria.

The City Health Officer, Dr Mithilesh, has been informed that continuous fogging and anti-larva spraying are being carried out on a war footing in the city as per the Municipal Commissioner’s instructions. Special attention is being given to dengue-sensitive areas, and strict measures are in place. The work is progressing in all the wards as per the roster, and there is close coordination with the Chief Medical Officer and District Malaria Officer to prioritize the prevention of infectious diseases.

It’s great to hear that the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation is actively working to protect residents from infectious diseases. Creating awareness through students and Safai Mitras is an excellent approach. The cooperation of public representatives and councillors in these prevention efforts is also commendable, as it shows a collective effort to promote cleanliness and health in the city. Together, they can make a significant impact on disease prevention.
