Gangster Killed In Tihar: Gangster Tillu Tajpuria on Tuesday morning was killed inside the Tihar Jail in an alleged gang war and was the prime accused in the Rohini Court shootout
He had been accused of rival gang members Yogesh Tunda and others. According to the jail official, Tillu was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital after the attack, from where he was declared brought dead. Police is investigating further.
Jailed gangster Tillu Tajpuria, accused in the Delhi Rohini Court shootout, was killed by members of a rival gang at Mandoli Jail in Tihar, jail officials said. Police sources said that Yogesh alias Tunda, an alleged sharp shooter of rival Jitendra Gogi gang, and his accomplice Deepak Teetar attacked Tajpuria with an iron rod.
Prima facie
Deen Dayal Hospital officials said the gangster was brought unconscious and was declared brought dead at around 6:30 am. Tillu Tajpuria was the leader of a notorious criminal gang in Delhi and a rival of the gang led by most wanted gangster Jitendra Gogi.
On September 24, 2021, two associates of Tajpuria disguised as lawyers shot dead Jitendra Gogi inside Delhi’s Rohini court. Gogi died on the spot, while his two killers were gunned down by the police inside the courtroom. At that time Tajpuria was already inside the jail in some case. He was said to be the main conspirator of the attack and was also interrogated after the incident.
Gang war
Bitterness has been going on between Gogi and Tajpuria gang for almost a decade. During these 10 years, more than two dozen people have been killed so far in the clashes between the two groups. The arrested members of both the gangs are involved in cases of murder, extortion, dacoity and car theft.
On the other hand, Delhi Police West District Additional DCP Akshat Kaushal said that at around 7 am today, information was received from DDU Hospital regarding two UTPs who were brought to the hospital from Tihar Jail. One of them Sunil alias Tillu was brought unconscious. He was later declared brought dead. Another person, Rohit, is undergoing treatment and is out of danger.
