Saurabh Bhardwaj, a minister in the Delhi government, had said during the ruckus over the inauguration of the new campus that police, land, and public order come under the LG. LG should inaugurate the police stations. The work of education is the responsibility of the elected government. Why is LG wanting to inaugurate it?
Delhi Education Minister Atishi had claimed that CM Arvind Kejriwal would inaugurate the new campus of the university. At the same time, the LG office claimed that the LG of Delhi was to inaugurate it. That is why the chief minister changed the date from May 23 to June 8. Meanwhile, outside the new campus, BJP supporters raised slogans against CM Arvind Kejriwal. The security forces did not allow them to enter the campus. For the past several days, there has been a tussle between the Delhi government and the Lieutenant Governor over the inauguration.
