Delhi Pollution: The overall AQI in the national capital stood at 241 at 6 am on Sunday. The air quality index (AQI) has consistently remained in the ‘poor’ category for several days. According to IMD, there has been a decline in minimum temperature up to 01°C over Delhi/NCR during the past 24 hours.
The Maximum and Minimum temperatures in Delhi were recorded in the range of 21 to 23°C and 06 to 08°C respectively. With a dip in temperature, the city is likely to experience a surge in cold waves in the coming days. Additionally, there will be mainly a clear sky in Delhi from December 15 to 17.

AQI In Different Parts Of Delhi
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the following AQIs were reported in different parts of Delhi as of 6 am today: Okhla Phase 2 (225), Alipur (253), Rohini (283), ITO (248), Ashok Vihar (258), Wajipur (268), Shadipur (243), Mundka (314), Jahangirpuri (303), Narela (225), DTO (256), R.K. Puram (244), Anand Vihar (289), Pusa (264), and Punjabi Bagh (268).
Centre Revises GRAP Norms
To curb the pollution levels in Delhi/NCR, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CQAM) has urged the states to impose stricter measures as air quality declines. Under the revised plan, schools are directed to switch to hybrid learning on days with severe air pollution.
The Inter-state buses from NCR states are reportedly prohibited from entering Delhi during Stage II, except for electric vehicles (EVs) and those running on CNG/BS-VI diesel.
People Seek Refuge In Night Shelters

What’s Next?
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday said that temperatures in Delhi may witness a significant drop by 1-2 degrees Celsius in the next few days due to shifting wind patterns.
