Viral Video: A video from Ranchi, Jharkhand has gone viral on social media, depicting a distressing incident where a policeman was brutally assaulted by the bus conductor over a dispute of Rs 20 inside the vehicle. Authorities have stated that stringent action will be taken against the perpetrator to deliver justice to the victim.
The incident occurred in the Namkum police station area on October 2 when House Guard Havildar Ajay Ram, employed by Bundu SDM, boarded an Aman bus traveling from Ranchi to Diwari Mandir. As he was heading back to Bundu from Ranchi, a disagreement arose when the bus conductor demanded an additional Rs 20 from Ajay, who had already paid Rs 50 as fare.
Ajay questioned the demand, stating that the fare was only Rs 50 and there was no reason to pay Rs 70. He also mentioned that he was a policeman. This disagreement infuriated the bus staff, leading to a brutal assault on Ajay. The conductor repeatedly slapped Ajay and used offensive language.

Another passenger on the bus captured the altercation on video, showing the conductor assaulting Ajay while other passengers, both male and female, attempted to intervene but were unable to stop the conductor.
A case has been registered at Namkum police station based on the complaint filed by policeman Ajay. Bundu SDM Ajay Kumar has stated that Ajay is the house guard of the SDM, and strong action will be taken against the bus staff responsible for the assault. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
