Amidst the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, distressing news has emerged from Bollywood. It has been revealed that actress Nushrratt Bharucha is currently stranded in Israel. A member of her team has confirmed this troubling situation.
According to a statement shared with the media by a member of her team, “Nushrratt Bharucha is stuck in Israel. She had travelled there to participate in the Haifa International Film Festival.” As per the information provided by her team, the last contact with her was around 12:30 pm on Saturday. During that communication, she was in a basement and in a safe condition.
Additional details are being withheld for security reasons, but since that last contact, efforts to reach Nusrratt have been unsuccessful. The team is diligently working to ensure her safe return to India and hopes for her safe and healthy return.
Nushrratt was recently seen in the film ‘Akeli,’ which was released in August. The film depicts the story of a girl caught up in Iraq’s civil war, struggling to return home amid the chaos. Ironically, the storyline of the film has become a reality in the actress’s life.
Nushrratt had shared the film’s trailer on Instagram, urging her fans to watch it. Alongside the video, she wrote, “Akeli – the journey of a simple girl fighting for her life. Nushrratt Bharucha’s film portrays an Indian girl stranded alone in war-torn Iraq and her remarkable struggle to survive against all odds.”
Against the backdrop of this personal ordeal, it’s crucial to note that on Saturday, the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas launched an extensive attack on Israel, firing 5,000 rockets in just 20 minutes. This attack has resulted in over 100 casualties and more than 900 injuries. Additionally, Hamas has claimed to have taken Israeli soldiers and citizens as hostages. In response, Israel’s counter-attack has led to 198 deaths and approximately 1,500 injuries. Hamas meticulously planned and prepared for this attack, which has escalated the already tense situation in the region.
