Bikaner (Rajasthan): Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, Saturday urged public to give Congress another chance by voting them to power.
Gehlot emphasised that despite good work, the government will change every time. Referring to Lok Sabha elections in 2019, he said, “Earlier we lost as voters got swayed away under Modi wave. We were winning Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan (in 2019 elections) but lost. I request the people to give us another chance.”
Several states in India including Gujarat is schedule to have Assembly election by the end of this year.
Gearing up for which, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has made a huge announcement. He has assured to bring back old pension scheme for government employees in Gujarat if they are voted to power.

In the latest, CM Gehlot has come out of a huge political drama in which, over 80 MLAs from Rajasthan had submitted their resignation. However, the situation were taken under control later.
Earlier, Ashok Gehlot had announced to step down from Chief Ministerial post as he was going to run for Congress president election. Unsatisfied with the decision, a large faction of Rajasthan’s Congress decided to quit.
After which, he retrieved his statement and clarified that he will not run for Congress president’s post.

The MLAs protest came in opposition of speculations that former deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot can become next Rajasthan CM.
