New Delhi: The Venkatachalam police arrested a man allegedly for throwing acid at a 14-year-old girl in Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh. The accused was an Uncle of the victim.
The police on Monday revealed identity of the accused whose name is N. Nagaraju (34). Nagaraju threw acid on the minor girl and slit her throat. He was nabbed near his house by a special team.
Nagaraju has been charged with aggravated sexual assault on the 14-year-old girl under the ‘Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act (POSCO).

Media reports claimed that the accused forcefully made his way into the house and committed the act. After which, he left with girl’s earrings worth Rs 4,000.
