New Delhi: India’s two leading airlines – Vistara and Air India – joined hands on Wednesday, for a bilateral interline partnership. The partnership is effective from April 5, offering their customers a smooth, end-to-end experience through the combined network of both airlines.

Through this cooperation, both the airline under the TATA consortium, will provide flexible travel options and uninterrupted connectivity over multiple destinations to passengers in India. The partnership will also be benefiting the customers by offering them a wider choice of destinations with flexible options to choose from.

Benefits offered

Customers now will be getting the option to book mixed itineraries on a single ticket across both airlines. With this, they will also be getting the service to receive their boarding passes for all the sections booked on a single ticket.

Before this interconnectedness, they share an already existing interline cooperation with each other for irregular operation (IROPs), so that both the airlines could offer alternative first available options to their passengers on each other’s flights. Which, will minimise the inconvenience, if any operational disruptions happen.
