Royal Enfield Prepares to Launch New Models: Hunter 450, Classic 650 And More

Royal Enfield gears up for its biggest launch year ever with a massive product offensive. Expect new motorcycles across various engine sizes, including the Hunter 450 and the Classic 650. The focus is on expanding the "Classic" range with facelifts, variants, and larger displacement bikes. This strategy aims to achieve double-digit growth and break the 1 million unit sales mark for the first time.

Royal Enfield, India's leading motorcycle manufacturer, will expand its portfolio with the launch of new bikes in the 350cc, 450cc and 650cc categories. With a history of regularly launching new products in the market, the brand looks to maintain this momentum for years to come. The first Royal Enfield motorcycle in the pipeline is the Hunter 450, which is currently under development and the new model was recently spotted in a production-ready test mule. Meanwhile, Royal Enfield has plans to launch many new models by 2025. We have listed out some of the major ones below, read on:

Royal Enfield Hunter 450

The 450cc roadster - Royal Enfield Hunter 450 - would be Royal Enfield’s first new model. The motorcycle will share the chassis with the Himalayan 450, but will feature a unique subframe at the rear. This new model will draw its juice from the liquid-cooled Sherpa single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 452cc. The powerplant is capable of churning out an impressive power of 39.47hp and a peak torque of 40Nm.

Royal Enfield Classic 650

An advanced version of the best-selling Classic 350, the Royal Enfield Classic 650 is expected to launch around Diwali 2024. This model will borrow the underpinnings from the Shotgun 650. A 648 cc parallel-twin engine will power this motorcycle to generate 47.4hp of power and 52.4Nm of peak torque.

Royal Enfield Scrambler 650

Royal Enfield's third new model, the Scrambler 650, is expected to hit the market by the end of 2024. This motorcycle will borrow its underpinnings from the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. The Scrambler will feature long-travel inverted front forks, a round digital instrument panel sourced from the Himalayan 450, a single-piece seat and more. Royal Enfield Bobber 350

The last addition to the new range will be the innovative Royal Enfield Bobber 350, which shares its base with the Classic 350. This model features a raised Ape Hanger-type handlebar, a round headlight, and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank. The Bobber 350 will be powered by the popular 349cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled J-series engine and is expected to arrive in India by mid-2024. Amid growing global competition, Royal Enfield is upping the ante with its biggest product onslaught yet in FY25. According to a report in Autocar, Royal Enfield is expected to launch more than six new models in the current financial year. The main objective of the year will be to build its main "Classic" range with all new models: facelifts, variants and larger displacement motorcycles. Royal Enfield will introduce new models in four different displacement categories later this year. Initially, the company will launch five all-new models: Goan Classic 350, Scram 440, Guerrilla 450, Interceptor Bear 650 and Classic 650. Later, the Classic 350 and its variants: Bullet, Hunter and Meteor will be updated. This would result in an expansion of the product range by almost 50 per cent over the next year.
