Maruti Suzuki, following the global launch, is gearing up to bring this new Swift to the Indian market and has initiated testing procedures.

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to feature numerous remarkable updates. Moreover, Suzuki plans to unveil a sportier version of the Swift, which might be revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2024. Suzuki has already revealed images of the car, hinting at a potential launch as a concept model.

New Year, New Design

According to the images, several cosmetic updates will be made to the front and back sides of the sporty Suzuki Swift. The hatchback’s doors will also receive a sporty look. Additionally, the car will feature new design LED headlights, updated taillights, a glossy black front skid plate, and alloy wheels. The new generation Swift will be built on the updated HEARTECT platform, and the new design will also be based on this platform.

Loaded With Features

In the new Swift’s interior, several changes will be observed, some of which will bear resemblance to the features found in the Fronx and Baleno models. The car’s interior will feature a dual-tone color theme. It will include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument console, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and toggle switches for climate control.

Power Packed Hatchback

The upcoming Swift will debut with petrol and hybrid engine options. This hatchback will be equipped with a 1.2-liter, DOHC, 12V engine generating 82bhp power at 5700rpm and a peak torque of 108Nm at 4500rpm. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox, while there’s speculation about the potential inclusion of an AMT gearbox option in the Indian model.
