5-Door Thar Will Have These Features

The Mahindra Thar 5 Door could feature a 2.0-liter turbo petrol or a 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine, alongside options for a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Additionally, both 2WD and 4WD variants may be available in the 5-door model, allowing customers to select the model that suits their requirements. Recently, testers have spotted the new Mahindra Thar during its testing phase.

Reports suggest that the new Mahindra Thar 5 Door may feature a hard top variant equipped with a single-pane sunroof and removable panels, a feature currently absent in the existing model. Speculations suggest that the new Thar 5-door will likely utilize the ladder-frame chassis of the existing Scorpio-N, constructed from solid steel, ensuring robustness. Although the company has not officially confirmed this information, analysts speculate that the price of the 5-door Thar could increase by about one to two lakh rupees compared to the current model, with a starting price of around Rs 15 lakh. It will directly compete with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Gurkha.
