New Delhi: The new generation GT3 RS 992 is the most track-focused of the Porsche 911 range and comes with a number of mechanical and aerodynamic improvements. As for the aero package, the new GT3 RS now comes with active front fender elements, L-shaped air vents on the now redundant nose, and several spoilers and ribs around the wheel arches.
The most significant aerodynamic improvement, however, is the massive two-piece spoiler at the rear with an adjustable upper wing, which works similar to the DRS (Drag Reduction System) of an F1 car. The rear also comes with an updated diffuser with a centrally located exhaust. Porsche claims all aero surfaces generate 409kg of downforce at 200km/h; twice as much as its predecessor.

In addition to the aerodynamic improvements, Porsche also says that the new GT3 RS comes with a double wishbone front axle with teardrop profiles and uses a multi-link setup at the rear with rear axle steering.
Inside, the GT3 RS comes with a host of features and technology, including a digital instrument cluster and a large central touchscreen infotainment unit. The car features a pair of carbon fiber seats and a steering wheel that includes rotary controls to control various aspects of the car, including driving modes.
A roll cage is offered as part of the ClubSport package. Porsche also offers a Weissach package for the GT3 RS, which includes lots of extra carbon bits throughout the car and other lightweight elements.

The 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine that produces 523 hp and is paired with a 7-speed PDK transmission. The GT3 RS can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 296 km/h.
The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is priced around 230,000 euros. While the order books are open, deliveries are expected to begin early next year.
