New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra has officially launched the Scorpio Classic in India today. The new Mahindra Scorpio Classic is essentially a facelifted version of the old generation Scorpio and will be sold alongside the new Scorpio-N. Mahindra Scorpio Classic 2022 introductory prices start at Rs 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom. It is available in two variants and a seven/nine-seater configuration.

The new Mahindra Scorpio Classic 2022 is offered in two variants – S and S11. The launch price of this mid-size SUV ranges from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh, ex-showroom. In addition, it will be offered in five color versions. They are – Red Rage, Napoli Black, Dsat Silver, Pearl White and the newly introduced Galaxy Grey. The Scorpio Classic is now available at all Mahindra dealerships in India.

Test drives and bookings have already started and deliveries are expected to start soon. The new Mahindra Scorpio Classic is powered by the Gen-2 version of the tried and tested mHawk 2.2-litre diesel engine.

This engine churns out 130 horsepower and a peak torque of 300 Nm. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and has a RWD only setting.

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic also gets some cosmetic upgrades. At the front, it has a blacked-out grille with Mahindra ‘Twin Peaks’ logo.

The SUV also gets updated bumpers and fog lamp cover, new alloy wheels, etc. Inside, it features a new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, visual enhancements on the dashboard and more. Mahindra Scorpio Classic will compete with Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra Scorpio-N etc.
