House Of Representatives
Besides the US Presidential Election, polling is being held also for 435 seats of the House of Representatives or the lower house in a parliamentary democracy or the Lok Sabha in India. The Grand Old Party has a slim majority in the lower house of the US Congress.

US Senate
Elections are also being held for 34 of the 100 seats of the US Senate, or the Upper House, equivalent to the Rajya Sabha of the Indian political system. Democrats have a one-seat margin over the Republicans in the House at present.
Referendum On Abortion Rights

Ten US states, including the swing states of Arizona and Nevada, are also holding referendums on abortion rights in their respective states.

The US states of Florida, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska are holding referendums on recreational or medical use of marijuana.
