Attack on Kremlin: In a shocking claim, Russia on Wednesday accused Ukraine of organising a ‘terrorist’ attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin. Drones were said to have attacked Putin’s Kremlin office in Moscow. However, Putin was not in the office at the time of the attack.

This attack is being investigated as a ‘planned terrorist act’ by Russia. According to reports, two drones were employed in the attack. According to the Kremlin, Russian security forces deactivated both drones before they could crash into the dome.

According to the Kremlin’s statement, two unmanned drones were directed at the Kremlin. The army and special forces retaliated quickly using the radar system, and the drone was destroyed.

Video of drone goes viral

The video has gone viral on Russian social media, particularly the Zvezda channel of Russia’s military news agency. Following the alleged incident, smoke can be seen rising from behind the main Kremlin Palace. A video shows the Russian military shooting down a drone close to the Kremlin’s dome.

Drone flights prohibited in Moscow

Following the incident, Moscow’s mayor declared a ban on unauthorised drone flights over the city. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated in a statement that drone flying will remain forbidden unless special permission was acquired from government authorities. He has stated that anyone who prohibits unauthorised drone flights will face severe consequences.
