Twitter Gold Badge: Micro blogging platformTwitter has issued gold, grey and blue tick marks to distinguish different categories of users. It was previously revealed that an individual having a Twitter Blue tick will have to pay $8 per month on Android and $11 per month on iOS. Now news coming in, twitter plans to charge $1,000 per month for the gold check mark business organisations.

Social Media consultant Matt navara tweets the information

This new update regarding gold badge has been tweeted by social media consultant Matt Navara and many tech news sites.  In a tweet, Matt writes that Twitter is emailing large businesses offering Gold Check Mark verification for $1000 per month. If Businesses do not pay, badge will be removed

According to a report in the tech site The Information, organisations which refuse to pay the $1,000 monthly fee will not have their gold badges on their twitter account. Although, Twitter has not officially announced the pricing for Gold Check Mark for big Business Organizations.

Twitter brought subscription Model after Elon Musk takeover

Twitter initiated its paid subscription model in November, 2022. It introduced three different badges for individuals, businesses and government agencies. In this, companies will get gold tick, while grey checks will be for government officials and agencies and Twitter Blue Badge will be available for individuals (celebrity or non celebrity). Before Elon Musk took over to Twitter, the blue tick mark was only for verified accounts of politicians, celebrities, journalists, and other public figures.
