Russia-Ukraine war: At least 11 people were killed in a Russian missile strike on Ukraine on Thursday, citing the Ukrainian State Emergency Services. 11 people were also injured as a result of the strike, reported CNN. The majority of the damage has been done to housing in the Kyiv region, according to the service's spokesperson Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, who added that around 100 rescuers are involved in the recovery process following the attack. In a regular briefing on Thursday, the US State Department condemned the attack on Ukraine and expressed sympathy to all those who were injured. The (Russia-Ukraine war) attack came after the United States and Germany agreed to supply battle tanks to Ukraine in the midst of the ongoing conflict. The missile strikes damaged 35 buildings and caused two fires. According to CNN, Khorunzhyi stated that the missiles caused damage in 11 regions across Ukraine. "The majority of the housing damage is in the Kyiv region," he added. "We have connected 88 power generators to provide electricity to social facilities such as hospitals." Last week, at least 30 people were killed when Russian missiles struck an apartment building in Dnipro. The regional governor's adviser, Natalia Babachenko, said 30 people had been confirmed dead so far, and more than 30 were hospitalised, with 12 in critical condition. She also predicted that 30 to 40 people were still trapped beneath the debris.
