Rockets were reportedly fired from Southern Lebanon toward the Israeli port city of Haifa on Monday amid the October 7 Hamas Attack Anniversary. The attack comes in light of the recent Israeli Airstrikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Saturday and overnight into Sunday.
The Israeli army said rockets launched from Lebanon hit Haifa, leaving at least ten people injured. According to Reuters, Hezbollah claims to have fired a salvo of ‘Fadi 1’ missiles towards a military base south of Haifa. As per media reports, two rockets struck the city of Haifa on Israel’s Mediterranean coast. Five other rockets targeted Tiberias, about 65 kilometers (40 miles) away.

Amid rising hostilities, October 7 marks the first anniversary of the Palestinian militant group Hamas’s attack on Israel.
According to reports, at least 41,870 people have been killed in Gaza and 97,166 others wounded so far in Israeli Attacks since October 2023. On the other hand, at least 1,139 people were killed in the Hamas-led attacks in Israel on October 7 in which over 200 people were taken captive.
