General Halevi Urges IDF To Stay Strong Amid Ongoing Fight For Israel’s Security

From achievements by Halevi, it is believed that the IDF managed to crush Hamas' military wing, which significantly weakened Hezbollah's leadership to some extent.

The IDF is marking the war’s first anniversary and looking back on key achievements and future challenges. Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi spoke to IDF soldiers and commanders. This marks one year since the war began with the events of October 7. It is concerning to Israel and the Battle for Hamas and Hezbollah Across Borders. The Israeli Defense Force continues fighting for winning and securing Israel’s borders with the defeat of the enemy forces. The IDF has some success times due to the tactical advancement and continued strength, weakening their enemies, and ensuring they secure themselves for long-term security.

Successes And Mistakes Reflective Portion

One year after the war began, General Herzi Halevi addressed the IDF forces, referring to difficulties and achievements. According to him, this war, which began on October 7 with a failure to protect Israeli civilians, has granted the IDF much space to develop and become more productive. Within the last year, various fronts have seen military battles, weakening the strength of Hamas and Hezbollah.

The near-term tasks of the IDF are completing the defeat of enemy forces, rescuing hostages, and ensuring the return home of displaced civilians in security. Halevi reminded his troops not to give up and to hold on, challenging them to keep fighting at full strength. He then quoted Ecclesiastes, “Whatever it is in your power to do, do with all your might,” as guidance to his troops to stay focused on their mission.

A Call To Unity And Strength

Speaking before the nation, Halevi expressed pride and gratefulness towards the bravery and perseverance of the soldiers and reservists in the IDF for the last year. He told them, the nation that Israel will be protected because the IDF will continue fighting for the right of Israel to exist in this world and keeps its citizens from harm. Halevi’s call was a strong message of unity that every single one of them needed to remember this was not a war just about borders but about the values and way of life Israel upholds. He vowed that the IDF would fight on until victory was won.
