Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian were returning from the neighboring country Azerbaijan in their helicopter. Among his air convoy of three helicopters, two safely returned, but theirs crashed.

International media reports confirm the death of Iranian President Raisi. Iran’s supreme leader states that if evidence emerges implicating Israel in the helicopter crash of the Iranian President, they will respond with unimaginable consequences.

The Iranian agency Red Crescent reports that they have deployed 40 different rescue teams around the scene. The rescue workers are encountering difficulties in searching for the helicopter due to dense fog and other obstacles. It is stated that the rescue teams will reach the spot as soon as possible.

Iranian media reports suggest that bad weather is being cited as the reason for the helicopter accident. The helicopter had to make an emergency landing due to dense fog, resulting in the crash. However, the true cause of the helicopter crash can only be determined after the completion of the rescue operation.
