New Delhi: Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin have confirmed their visit to the G20 Summit. The summit is scheduled to happen in Bali in November this year. The information was given by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
“Xi Jinping will come. President Putin has also told me he will come,” Widodo told Bloomberg. This was the first time when the Indonesian President confirmed the visit of Presidents of both the nations at the November summit.
Following the publishing of the report on Friday, the dollar increased against currencies in the Asia-Pacific region as rising geopolitical concerns increased demand for the US dollar as a safe haven.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry did not comment immediately on Jinping’s travel plan. Whereas, Kremlin declined to comment on the matter.
