Earthquake in Turkey : Turkey Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) updated that a new 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck central Turkey’s Kahramanmaras province. It was a second quake after a deadly earthquake this morning that purportedly killed at least 912 people and injured more than 5,000 persons.
Rescue operation is Underway
The disaster monitoring agency said the epicenter of the earthquake was centered in the Elbistan district of Kahramanmaras. According to them The rescue team reached the quake hit area. Turkish President Rajab Tayyab Erdugan has also tweeted that rescue operations are going on in the earthquake-affected areas. According to a report There were at least 6 aftershocks during the second earthquake.

About 1300 people have succumbed
Report says in Turkey and Syria, the combined death toll has reached 1300. The most devastation has happened in the epicenter of Turkey and the areas of Syria near it. According to Turkey’s one of the largest news websites ‘Al Sabah’, 912 people have lost their lives so far. According to the website 5385 people were injured. In Syria, 386 people succumbed and 639 were injured. The total death toll in both countries is around 1300. There have been tremors in Lebanon and Israel but there is no news of anyone’s death.
World offer helping hand
In this tragic situation many nations including India have offered to help in all possible ways. Meanwhile rescue operations are continuing and more information is awaited.
