Three migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh, Ajay Kumar, 25, Chandu, 24, and Mohd Arif,35, all of them working as painters and wood polishers, were arrested by Madhura Nagar Police for allegedly raping Scheduled Tribe Lambada women, under pretext of offering her work to wash clothes at their flat in Madhura Nagar.
Police Took The Accused In Custody
The accused came to the city a month ago. Police stated that they were on run, when got arrested, they got produced before the court and then sent to judicial remand. Women, 50, working as a construction laborer, got trapped by the accused near Hi-tech city when she was heading towards her home. They offered her Rupees 500 to wash their paint-stained clothes which is lying in their room. They picked the victim in the auto rickshaw.
After reaching their rented flat when the women asked for the clothes, they said the clothes are lying in the bathroom. Then they took her inside. When she entered their room they locked the door and started beating her. Later they allegedly raped her. When the voice of victim for help came out, a women living nearby rushed there and rescued her. Later, that woman alerted the police.
Police On The Incident
According to police, the woman, who is resident of Kondapur, made a living by working as a Labour at construction site. Seeing victim naked, with injuries on her face, the neighbor and others offered her clothes and alerted police. The hunt for the accused began, police said.
“The women has been shifted for medical examination at Bharosa Centre for Treatment and counseling,” Madhura Nagar SHO Srinivas Varma said.
