Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a list of days in March on which banks will remain closed for national or regional festivals and special observances. Banks will remain closed for a total of 12 days, not for one or two days in March. This includes weekends as well. (Bank Holidays March 2023)
Many festivals, including Holi (Holi 2023) are being celebrated in March. Apart from these festivals, March also includes some 6 weekly holidays including Sundays and 2nd-4th Saturdays. Significantly, apart from Sundays, banks in the country continue to work on the first and third Saturdays of the month, while the second and fourth Saturdays are bank holidays. Bank Holiday also depends on the festivals celebrated in different states or other events in those states. (Bank Holidays March 2023)
Therefore, without delay, settle all the work related to your bank in this month itself. However, despite the banks’ branch being closed, you can do banking related work online from the comfort of your home. This facility will always be operational for 24 hours.
