A female schoolteacher was arrested for dating a student. This case from the United States of America, where Ana Leigh D’Etore, 24, worked as a practice teacher at a Lakota community school. The teacher was a university student herself.

Ana was arrested and booked into the Butler County Jail on suspicion of having an inappropriate relation with a student. The case has not yet been heard in court. The case will be heard in court on January 10, 2019. Ana will remain in jail till then.

The teacher has been charged with illicit sexual behaviour with a minor that caused harm to the minor. Documents filed to the court contained information about this list of charges.

Ana allegedly had a relationship with the schoolboy between May 21 and August 30. According to the Daily Star, the student is between the ages of 13 and 16. Ana is also accused of sending students naked images.

The prosecution team stated, “We knew the female teacher had a romantic involvement with the student someplace in town. But we didn’t know the specific place. It appears she did it in the car while travelling.”

District Education spokesperson Betsy Fuller stated, “We are really disappointed after learning about this act. We learned about Ana’s case after the start of the current school year and are completely collaborating with law enforcement in this situation.”

Betsy continued, “It is critical that our students feel protected at school. As a result, we always ask students and parents to report any problems to the administration.”
