New Delhi: A 70-year-old woman from Dorking, England, won a lottery jackpot worth 10,000 pounds (about ₹10.37 lakh) over the next 30 years. Doris Stanbridge will receive this amount every month for many years to come.
Mrs Stanbridge mentioned that the victory has made her live for 30 more years to enjoy what she earned. However, the woman celebrated 70th birthday of her by buying a lottery ticket, which is worth thousands of pounds.
Talking about her winning journey, Mrs. Stanbridge said she is at home with her three daughters. She discovered silver spiders in her house and garden, and used the creepy crawly sight to remind him to buy Set For Life tickets via the app.
Ms Stanbridge received an email from the National Lottery this weekend.
The email read: “Congratulations, you’ve earned £10,000 a month for 30 years.” Mrs. Stanbridge could not believe her luck so she ran to her son-in-law for a second opinion. Doris opens a bottle of birthday champagne to celebrate her incredible win. The next morning, she received official confirmation from the National Lottery.

“I still feel a bit strange thinking about winning and the fact that I will receive this money every month for 30 years. It gives me a reason to stay there until I’m 100,” Ms Stanbridge told National Lottery. !”
The happy couple is also planning to renovate their home of 50 years and wants to treat their family to a vacation abroad.
The lottery winner said: “This will be my grandson’s first plane trip. I always look for a villa in the countryside with a pool and sunshine! Ms Stanbridge won the National Lottery draw in the Set For Life draw on Thursday August 3 after matching all the winning numbers that evening: 2, 11, 17, 30, 38 and Life Ball 3, a National Lottery press release said.
