Modi, Yogi’s sisters meet: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sister Vasanti Ben and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s sister Shashi Devi had an unexpected encounter with each other at the Neelkanth Mahadev temple in Uttarakhand’s Garhwal on Friday.

Vasanti Ben along with her husband reached the Neelkanth Mahadev temple to offer her obeisance to Lord Shiva in the pious month of Sawan.

BJP leader Ajay Nanda shared the video on X (formerly called Twitter) and wrote, “PM Modi’s sister Basanti Ben and CM Yogi’s sister Shashi Devi meeting exemplifies the essence of simplicity, Indian culture, and tradition.”

PM’s sister is on a pilgrimage to Rishikesh

The video of the meeting of the sisters of both leaders hit headlines on social media these days. People are commenting on this in various ways. PM Modi’s sister is on a pilgrimage to Rishikesh with her family. During her visit, she stayed at Dayanand Ashram. Here PM’s sister visited Neelkanth Mahadev Temple and Bhuvaneshwari Devi. During this, she came to know that CM Yogi’s sister has a shop here, so she went to meet her.

It is to inform you that the sister of UP CM Yogi Adityanath runs a Prasad shop. The material of worship is available here. Nearby is her husband’s small tea shop. CM Yogi’s family belongs to Pauri in Uttarakhand, his family still lives in Panchur village.

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is one of the most revered temples of Rishikesh. It is said that Lord Shiva took the poison that came out of the churning of the ocean at this place.
