On the other hand, netizens are praising the young man’s quick thinking and debating how a carbonated drink can be effective in extinguishing fires.

One user pointed out that Coke and other fizzy drinks contain pressurized carbon dioxide (CO2), which can reach up to 1,200 pounds per square inch, making them effective as fire extinguishers in emergencies. They praised the idea as excellent.

Another user explained that the reason Coca-Cola works to extinguish fires is because of the CO2 dissolved in it. This gas blocks oxygen from reaching the fire, which prevents it from continuing to burn. This was their analysis of why the method was effective.
