New Delhi: The Hero Vida V1 electric scooter has been launched in Plus and Pro variants priced at Rs 1.45 lakh and Rs 1.59 lakh respectively. V1 Plus and V1 Pro differ in scope and performance.

Hero Vida V1 electric scooter: battery, electric motor and supports

The Vida V1 Plus has a claimed range of 143 km and can accelerate from 0-40 in 3.4 seconds, while the V1 Pro has a claimed range of 165 km and can do 0-40 km/h in 3.2 seconds; both variants have a maximum speed of 80 km/h. The Plus and Pro also have fast charging capability and can be charged from 0-80 percent in 65 minutes. Exact powertrain specs will be updated in this story as details are revealed.

Hero Vida V1 electric scooter: Features

The biggest advantage the Vida V1 scooter has over its rivals is that it boasts replaceable batteries, meaning getting a fully charged unit should be a matter of minutes rather than the usual hours. These batteries were developed in-house by Hero.

The Vida V1 electric scooters are packed to the gills with electronic features such as a 7.0-inch TFT touch screen, keyless entry, riding modes, as well as a proprietary app that lets you pair your phone with it.

Hero Vida V1 electric scooter: Prices and rivals

The Hero Vida V1 Plus is priced at Rs 1.45 million, while the V1 Pro costs Rs 1.59 million. The price of the electric scooter is much higher than previously thought, but it falls in the same ballpark as most of its main rivals. Vida V1 e-scooters will be available only in Bengaluru, Delhi and Jaipur as of now, more locations will be offered soon. Reservations open on October 10th and deliveries will begin in the second week of December.
