Amroha police registered an FIR against a man after a video in which he was seen misbehaving and verbally abusing a woman widely circulated on social media platforms on Saturday.
A 27-second video went viral on Saturday. The video shows that a man who was standing close to a Renault Duster along with his male friend in an agricultural field offered a sweet to a woman. When the woman refused to have it, he threw it on her face and then hit the box full of sweets at her while verbally abusing her.
Then could be heard saying defamatory words about the woman’s character. Later, he directed the girl to sit in the car. According to reports, the man proposed to the girl, and when she turned down his proposal, he misbehaved in anger.
Police said that the man had been misbehaving with the woman for the past sometime. As the video went viral, police took cognisance and registered an FIR at a police station in Gajraula in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh.
Efforts are underway to trace and nab the suspect. Social media users also expressed anger over the incident and urged UP Police for speedy justice.
