Sachin Tendulkar, the batting maestro and an ultimate legend scored his first century on August 14, 1990 in the second Test against England at Old Trafford in Manchester. He was just 17 years old at that time and the innings marked his solid arrival in the international arena, he further went on to become a masterclass batsmen.
In the second Test against England, India was in a very bleak situation and someone was required to step up for the team in order to avoid the defeat, that was the time when young Sachin stepped up and took the charge. He scored 119 runs and remained unbeaten which helped India secure a draw. His resilience, calmness and composure received a lot of praises and the century paved way to become a legend with a stunning record of 51 centuries.

Just at the age of 16, Sachin Tendulkar marked his international Test debut in a match against Pakistan on November 15, 1989. He then made his ODI debut on December 18, 1989 which was also against Pakistan.
Currently, Tendulkar holds a record of most runs in international cricket, with more than 34,000 runs in all the three formats Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. He is the only player to score 100 international centuries which is 51 in Tests and 49 in ODIs.
Sachin was also the first player to score a double century in ODI against South Africa on February 24, 2010. The victory was extremely special as it helped him fulfill his dream to win the World Cup for India.

In 2013 Sachin hung his boots and retired from international cricket on November 16, 2013 after playing his 200th Test match against West Indies which was held at his home ground Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Sachin Tendulkar has not just set the bar high with his unbreakable records but also ruled the game with his deep understanding, calmness, resilience and adaptability. He is truly a legend, with highest runs in both the formats, he has amasses a stunning total of 15,921 runs in Test matches and 18,426 runs in One-Day Internationals.
