While, cricket fans never like any stoppage or disturbance in the entertainment, however, there are several reasons why a cricket match gets halted. The reasons are either rain, wet outfield or bad light. After Arshdeep Singh bowled the first over of the second innings in the IND vs SA 3rd T20I 2024 match, the match was halted due to insects and flying ants. The flying ants are majorly seen during the rainy season as they look for mates and places to start new colonies. There have been many such situations when matches are being held in India, however, this was the first time a match was stopped as there could have been a chance of the insects to go in the eyes of the players.

However, getting back to match the Indian team registered a brilliant total while batting first at the SuperSport Park in Centurion during the IND vs SA 3rd T20I 2024. The Indian team put up a score of 219/6 in 20 overs after Tilak Varma smashed a brilliant century and played an innings of 107 runs from 56 balls. Tilak smashed eight fours and seven sixes during his stay at the crease. Other than Varma, Abhishek Sharma played an innings of 50 runs whereas Ramandeep Singh showed some fireworks and provided the much needed finish to the innings.
