New Delhi: Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday said he has been summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for questioning on Monday in an ongoing investigation in the Delhi excise policy case.
Sisodia, in a tweet on Sunday said: “CBI raid was conducted at my house for 14 hours, nothing came out. Searched my bank locker, nothing came out in it. They did not find anything in my village.”
“Now they have called me to CBI Headquarters at 11am tomorrow. I will go and give my full cooperation. Satyameva Jayate,” he added.

Responding to the summons, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief & Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called it a ‘second fight for freedom’. “Manish and Satyendar are today’s Bhagat Singh”.

“Jail bars and hanging noose could not deter Bhagat Singh’s intentions. This is the second fight for freedom. Manish and Satyendar are today’s Bhagat Singh,” Kejriwal said.
“After 75 years, the country got an education minister who gave good education to the poor and gave hope for a bright future. Prayers of crores of poor are with you,” he added.

Delhi minister Satyendar Jain is under arrest and being probed in an alleged money laundering case.
In a media briefing, AAP leader Atishi Marlena said that Sisodia will be arrested if he goes to CBI Headquarters.

“Tomorrow Manish Sisodia will be arrested if he goes to CBI Headquarters. Till today the CBI has not been able to tell what was found from Manish?”
“CBI-ED has engaged 400-500 officers to investigate the fake scam but they have not found even corruption of one rupee,” she added.
She said that it’s not about excise policy but about elections in Gujarat.
The CBI, recently, conducted a search of Punjab National Bank locker of Sisodia at Ghaziabad in an alleged irregularities in Delhi excise policy case.
On August 19, the CBI raided Sisodia’s residence. On the day of CBI raid, the Delhi deputy CM had said he has done nothing wrong and added that the CBI is being misused.
