New Delhi: WhatsApp is working on many new features. One of these new features is one that has been long awaited. Ever since WhatsApp launched multi-device support, users could use this WhatsApp but it couldn’t be done on a secondary phone or tablet.
However, now the company is introducing the ability to sign in to a single WhatsApp account on two Android devices, including a phone and a tablet, as part of a new feature. Currently, this feature is only available to beta testers. Information on how long it will be rolled out for other users has not been provided at this time.
According to Wabetainfo, messaging app WhatsApp for tablets has launched for beta testers. The website confirmed the presence of the new feature in the beta version and also shared a screenshot.
Beta users will need to update to the latest version of Android to test the new features. A WhatsApp for tablet banner will also appear at the top of the chat.
Through this banner, it is known that a tablet-compatible version is available on the Play Store for beta testers.
To do this, you can click on the More information button provided in the banner. It has been said that some features will not be available to users after downloading WhatsApp on the tablet. This includes new status update, live location and broadcast list sharing from WhatsApp for Android tablets.
Let us know that WhatsApp is working on another new feature that will allow users to find messages with current date. This feature was introduced in the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS. Rumor has it that it might roll out to the stable version soon.
