This feature of Apple works even when the device is out of WiFi or Bluetooth range. Even when the device is turned off, this feature can tell its location.

Google can bring new update

On the other hand, Google’s Find My Device feature can only track those phones, which are linked to the user’s Google account. There may be a change in this soon. Its hints have been found in the Play System Update patch note released in December 2022.

Google has indicated that soon Android users can get a feature like Find My Device Network. With the help of this feature, users will be able to track their lost or stolen Android phones. Google can rollout this update soon.

Easily find the location of the phone

Google’s Find My Device feature uses the new privacy-centric framework. Also sends encrypted last-know-location. Since the location of the device is encrypted. That’s why only the device owner can get the information about its location.

Apart from the phone, you can also use this feature to get the location of Wear OS devices. However, Google has not officially given any information about this feature. It is expected that the company will announce it soon.
